"I LOVE BOOK CLUB because of the fascinating books and great adventure stories" Little Book Club member, Sarah Age 7
Our Little book club is for keen readers aged 6-8. We meet on the last Tuesday of every month at 4pm to discuss the book we’ve read that month. Members in this book club don’t have to have read the book independently; we think getting together to talk about the stories is a brilliant way to improve social skills and critical thinking without even realising it. Exploring new styles and trying new writers is another fantastic way to develop little readers.
Little book club isn’t an extension of school and we don’t follow any reading programmes – we love reading for pleasure, making friends and doing the odd bit of drawing or writing if we feel like it.
Little book club meetings last 30 minutes, the cost is simply the price of the book and we include a snack. We are welcoming new members to this group so please get in touch if you know a little reader who'd like to join.
Last month we read: Pugly Bakes a Cake by Pamela Butchart and Gemma Correll (Nosy Crow)
Meetings would be on the last Tuesday of the month.
